KLK OLEO Traceability English
Notes:

Defined as traceable to Palm Oil Mills (“POM”) level for both Palm Oil based and Palm Kernel Oil based feedstock, excluding internal transfer within KLK OLEO group of companies.

The percentages disclosed were tabulated based on the weighted average purchases for palm oil related origin processed in participating operating centers.

The source of information shared, non-verified, included but not limited to:

  • Supplier specific traceability disclosure: Suppliers submitted traceability information upon request for certain period*, based on cloud of mills. Traceability percentage is calculated based on mills information provided. Should suppliers provide statements of certain percentage traceable to POM level, this was also used to represent traceability.
  • Supplier website traceability disclosure*: Information from supplier traceability dashboard.
  • CIF Rotterdam Traceability (CRT) Template**: Specific for Europe operating centers, CRT templates ex-vessel were used as source of information for traceability calculation.
  • RSPO certified purchases: Declaration of mills by suppliers in the RSPO PalmTrace and Prisma. Despite that, according to RSPO, the mill list is not fully available in the transaction records within Prisma, as the historical footprint from PalmTrace has not yet been migrated. The information will be updated as soon as it becomes available.
  • Mill list is updated to reflect latest sourcing whenever information is available.
  • *Traceability information not necessarily match sourcing period. Only RSPO SG model can provide exact matching of traceability against sourcing period.
  • ** Typically connect to shipments over the past 12 months. Suppliers that not in current supply chain, can therefore still appear on the mill list.

Supply Chain Management in

Sustainability practices are the core values of KLK OLEO’s corporate culture. These values are incorporated into an extensive self-regulating practice which integrates the principles of sustainability into a stringent supply chain management. With the surge in world demand for environmental protection, high awareness for downstream compliance to sustainability regulations and standards is fast becoming a necessity.

One of the overarching goals of KLK Sustainability Policy is to reduce and eventually end deforestation and peatland conversion associated with KLK palm oil supply chain. KLK OLEO is managing these risks by employing geospatial monitoring tools and satellite imagery to track land use changes, ensuring that all palm oil sources are free from deforestation and peatland development. These technologies enable monitoring and rapid identification of any non-compliant areas, allowing for corrective action.
